Pet Resort Accommodations
We want to provide the perfect home away from home for your dog while you are away! Upper Paw is a compassionate, clean, and playful environment where your four-legged friend will receive respect, lots of individual attention, and plenty of opportunities to play or relax. We believe this interaction while you are gone will help to continue to build the human-animal bond that is so important for your pet!
Your pet’s time away should be as much like home as possible and we’ve organized our pet resort and suites to reflect this concept. Each resort guest can enjoy a cage-free environment, with a warm, inviting color scheme and a flat screen TV. All guests also enjoy their own pet cots, which are comfortable, above-the-floor options for rest times. Webcam access is available during the day to check on your pet. We will accommodate your pet’s specific feeding, husbandry, and medical needs and go out of our way to make your pet’s stay an unforgettable one.

Is your dog bored at home all day, alone and waiting for you to return? Do you feel overwhelmed by the energy level your pet displays after you’ve had a long, hard day at work? Playcare is an excellent way to encourage socialization, exercise and mental stimulation for your dog in a safe, healthy, supervised environment.
What to expect…
Every dog at Upper Paw Doggie Playcare must undergo an interview and temperament evaluation in order to make sure that our environment will be beneficial to them, and remain safe for everyone. We want to avoid unpredictable behavior that may put other pets or staff members in harm’s way. Once enrolled, if your pet is not adapting to our environment well, we will communicate with you and assist you with other options. We want to help to find the best environment for your pet!
It’s also important to note that dogs are susceptible to environmental diseases just like people. We will do everything we can to keep our pets and staff safe and healthy at all times! If your pet has any of the following symptoms, please protect our other guests by keeping your pet home.
Kennel Cough – coughing, sneezing, runny nose
External Parasites – fleas, ticks, ringworm, sarcoptic mange mites
Giardia – diarrhea or vomiting with or without blood
Don’t forget, we also have our in-house veterinary hospital downstairs, so if your pet needs veterinary attention at any time while in our care, we will be more than happy to take care of them so they can return to Upper Paw happy and healthy again!
We will strive to keep every pet clean while they are with us. A playcare environment will inevitably expose your pet to crowd control issues, however, our attentive staff will keep your pet clean throughout the day so they are looking and smelling great when they go home!
As everyone knows, when dogs get together, a “pack mentality” can set in and sometimes we at Upper Paw must intervene for safety. If we do not see your pet playing nicely, he or she may be removed from the play area briefly for a time out in order to keep everyone safe and happy. We want to keep nips, scrapes, and scuffles to a minimum, and completely eliminate them whenever possible.
The bottom line is, at Upper Paw, we want everyone to have fun in a safe and loving environment!
